The Palm Springs Opera Guild is a cultural organization which provides education, support and promotion of all aspects of opera.
Furthering our mission, the Palm Springs Opera Guild provides Opera Outreach programs to children residing in the desert. The 2008 outreach presented musical programs to over 10,000 students from kindergarten to high school seniors attending schools and academies throughout the Coachella Valley. Their main goal is to enrich the lives of children by providing them access to opera which in turn will allow them to find their own musical passion. The Palm Springs Opera Guild is supported in part by the Newman's Own Foundation, Peggy and Don Cravens, George Klauss, Heather James Fine Art Gallery, Anderson Foundation and Audrey and Courtney Moe in additional to all of our Allegro Members.
- The annual Vocal Scholarship Competition promotes and helps advance the careers of young artists. Many of our winners are singing with companies around the world; in Vienna, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, as well as the New York Metropolitan. We are very proud to have been the stepping stones for these young aspiring artists.
- The Palm Springs Opera Guild of the Desert provides cultural enhancement to Coachella Valley residents by presenting major opera at the McCallum Theatre. We also help to promote Opera programs in the Annenberg Theatre at the Palm Springs Desert Museum.
The Palm Springs Opera Guild is a 501(c)(3) organization. Any and all donations are tax deductible as allowed by the law.
